Gillian Hanna died in August 2019. One of the co-founders of Monstrous Regiment, actress, writer and translator she was a huge influence on feminist theatre in Britain, while her translations helped introduce the work of Dario Fo and Franca Rame to Britain, as well as translating Dacia Maraini and the collective work of Théâtre de l’Aquarium.
